WoundClot® Advanced Bleeding Control

Bioabsorbable hemostatic gauze in no-oxidized and no-regenerated cellulose.
It has been designed to be effective in the management of mild, moderate, and severe bleeding. After applying WoundClot® to the bleeding site, it quickly converts from a flexible and tenacious gauze to a 3D gel. This stable gel allows rapid and stable hemostasis through four different mechanisms of action: absorption, adhesion, aggregation, activation.

“WoundClot® Hemostatic Gauze Biocompatibility”

Core Scientific Creations

This white paper summarizes the biocompatibility results conducted on WoundClot according to ISO 10993-2010. Among the tests to be carried out are:
• Pyrogenicity test
• Cytotoxicity study
• Skin irritation study
• Awareness raising
• Systemic toxicity study
The results of these tests show that WoundClot is biocompatible for the intended use and duration of use.

“Hemostasis with WoundClot Hemostatic Gauze in Orthopedic Oncology Surgery”

Ortal Segal and Solomon Dadia

In general, all tumors, being vascular structures, are susceptible to bleeding. Significant blood loss significantly complicates surgery. Preventing bleeding prevents the need for transfusion, reducing surgical time and related complications. This article presents two case reports of interventions carried out by Dr. Ortal Segal in Israel.

At first glance WoundClot looks like many other hemostatic gauzes, but in the reality, it is not. It has three immediate characteristics in its favor: (1) indents up to 2500% of its own weight in blood and is resistant for up to 24 hours; (2) significant adhesion to the wound; (3) groups create a favorable environment for coagulation thanks to the functionals present in it. Furthermore, WoundClot is effective in coagulopathic patients or patients undergoing anticoagulation therapy. It is the only no-regenerated and no-oxidized product in the world and therefore safer than all other hemostatic gauze.

“Hemorrhage Control Lessons Learned From the Battlefield Use of Hemostatic Agents That Can Be Applied in a Hospital Setting”

Herman A. Allison, FNP-C, MSN, RN, CCEMT-Paramedic, PNCCT

Uncontrolled blood loss is a leading cause of preventable death worldwide. Controlling blood loss is a very important issue for the patient and the value of quick and easy-to-use interventions that save lives has been learned from the battlefields. This article analyzes the main hemostats used for 17 years on the battlefield, including WoundClot.
